Read more… Master Sergeant Kelly L. Hornbeck Age: 36 Home: Fort Worth, TX Died: January 18, 2005 On 16 January, MSG. Hornbeck was traveling in a vehicle south of Samarra, Iraq when an IED was detonated. MSG. Hornbeck was medevaced to a combat support hospital where he sadly died of his injuries two days later. MSG. Hornbeck was assigned to Company C, 3rd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group based at Fort Carson, CO.
