We 4-wheel to great places with interesting names like: Red Dog, The Malakoff Diggings, Washington, and historic Graniteville. You will have plenty of stops along the way for scenic photo opportunities that you can only get with “local knowledge”. The trips are usually 8-10 hours long. A side trip to the famous Empire Mine State Park can be arranged.

Adventure Trips // SIERRA NEVADA MOUNTAINS
This trip is designed to “Get you out there”. You will cover many miles of backcountry driving. All of your driving skill will be challenged on this beautiful drive through the Tahoe National Forest. It won’t be all driving as we will be stopping in Historic Truckee for a chance to snack and shop.

As we will be in the high country opportunities to see bobcat, deer, bear, and other wildlife will be many. 300-mile trips are not uncommon on this multi-day tour, a stop in the mountain town of Downieville will delight every one. You will have an opportunity to learn the basics of map reading, route planning, and GPS use. Plenty of photo stops abound! This trip generally runs about 8-10 hours a day.

Adventure Trips // DESERTS OF NORTHERN NEVADA
If you like desert driving than this is the tour for you.

We start by traveling overland to just outside of Reno. We will play for a full day (approx. 8-10 hours) on over 400 acres of hills, washes, rocks, and sand! After a full day of driving, Reno nightlife waits for those with energy enough to play, or just curl up in your quiet hotel room and snooze. Then in the morning it's off to another adventure deeper in the high desert, mines, animals and gorgeous country waits for those hearty enough to try it. Map reading, GPS usage and self-recovery techniques are covered in this course.

Perhaps one of our most adventurous and scenic trips is our multi-day trip through the upper wilderness of Northern NV. Here you truly leave civiliztion behind as we travel the land where wild horses roam. Our destination is an historic working guest ranch where the scenery, the cow puncher grub,and hospitality is unrivaled any where in the West. You can soak and relax in one of the nearby , natural, hotsprings then sleep soundly under the milky way or on a soft bed in the bunk house. We can take a nearby side trip to explore the pioneer trail where you can still see the ruts of the wagon trains. Also available are the nearby opal mines where you can dig for opals; horseback riding tours can be arranged.
