About High Mobility, Inc. // Paul Patenaude Owner and Operator
Paul began his enthusiasm for the great outdoors as a youngster going on family vacations and camping trips across the country. He was frequently brought along on scouting trips, as his siblings were involved in scouts and his father was a scout leader. From his teen years till the present Paul has enjoyed many backpack trips, and in later years has climbed such mountains as Mt. Whitney (x2), Mt. Hood, and Mt. Shasta. In the early 80’s He volunteered as a “wild life interpreter” for the San Francisco Bay National Wild Life Refuge. Paul enjoyed 3 years working with inter-city youth/teens organizing recreational activities, including: leading backpack trips, being a camp counselor, and driving and maintaining the bus.

Paul has been an Emergency Medical Technician nearly 13 years for a large ambulance company, and has had the roles of field and deployment supervisor. During that time He was instrumental in co-writing and implementing the ambulance driving/training program. He has been active with the Alameda County Search and Rescue team and is presently working with the Placer County S. A. R. team.

Paul is easy going and truly loves working with people of all ages. He has a love of God’s creation and spending time in it. He enjoys learning about local history and sharing it with others.

While attending a Wilderness and Travel symposium He became acquainted with a doctor friend who owned a couple of Hummers and worked with The Rod Hall Hummer race team. This was the start of Paul’s Hummer and off-road enthusiasm!

The dream of an off-road/wilderness tour company began. To further investigate the capabilities of the awesome hummer Paul enrolled in Rod Hall's high performance off-road driving school. Paul gained a great admiration for the school and decided he wanted to work as an instructor. The rest as they say is history.
